State Route 7 to be restricted next week south of Rayland for a bridge repair project
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, April 13, 2010) – State Route 7 will be restricted next Monday, April 19th, just south of State Route 150 near Rayland in Jefferson County for a bridge repair project.
SR 7 will be reduced to one lane in each direction. The north and southbound travel lanes will be closed, and the passing lanes will be restricted to 11-feet in width.
ODOT's contractor for this $539,368 project is B & G Trucking & Construction Inc., from Akron, Ohio, and the completion date is mid-September 2010.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
