Work to begin next week to resurface U.S. Route 30 between Lisbon and State Route 11
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, April 13, 2010) – Work will begin next Monday, April 19th, to resurface U.S. Route 30 in Columbiana County.
Six miles of U.S. 30 will be resurfaced from Lisbon's corp. line near Pondi's to SR 11. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
ODOT's contractor for this $1.5 million project is The Shelly Company, from Twinsburg, Ohio, and the completion date is August 31, 2010.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
