Work to begin next week on Columbiana County resurfacing project
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Wednesday, April 13, 2016) – Work is set to begin next Monday, April 18th, to resurface multiple routes in Columbiana County.
U.S. Route 62, and State Routes 45 and 14T – the Salem Bypass – will be resurfaced from one mile east of Ellsworth Ave. and the SR 45 ramps. SR 14T will be resurfaced from the ramps at U.S. 62 and SR 45 to the Columbiana/Mahoning Co. line, and SR 45 will be resurfaced from U.S. 62 to the Columbiana/Mahoning Co. line at Ellsworth Ave.
Additionally, nearly three miles of SR 45 will be resurfaced from north of Lisbon to south of Teegarden and SR 558.
Traffic will be maintained.
ODOT’s contractor for this $1.86 million project is The Shelly Company, from Thornville, Ohio, and the completion date is August 31, 2016.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
