SR 542 safety improvement project to begin south of Magnolia
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, April 14, 2014) – Work is set to begin next Monday, April 21st, on a safety improvement project that will realign State Route 542 about 2 ½ miles south of Magnolia in Carroll County.
Two-way traffic will be maintained in one, 11-foot lane with temporary traffic signals.
Work will include realigning approximately 2,200 feet of the roadway, eliminating a curve to improve traffic safety.
ODOT’s contractor for this $1.5 million project is Dennison Bridge Inc., from Dennison, Ohio. Work is expected to be completed by November 2014.
