According to FPO’s Web site, www.flexiblepavements.org, each year at its Annual Meeting, FPO recognizes projects that demonstrate exceptional quality in asphalt pavement construction. These awards represent a diverse spectrum of pavement types from Ohio's interstate system with some of the highest traffic volumes in the nation, to low volume rural roadways, to airport runways, and commercial facilities.
“We have an outstanding team of engineers, inspectors and technicians working throughout the district, and I congratulate our crews and the crews from Shelly & Sands and The Shelly Company for their efforts to deliver successful projects that not only preserve our transportation network but also serve the traveling public well,” said ODOT District 11 Deputy Director Lloyd MacAdam.
The Ohio Department of Transportation maintains the state's largest man-made asset – the transportation system. ODOT's mission is to provide the safe and easy movement of people and goods from place to place.
