State Route 151 to be closed between Jewett and Hopedale for landslide repair project
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, April 18, 2017) – State Route 151 will be closed for 30 days, starting Monday, May 1st, for a landslide repair project between Jewett and Hopedale in Harrison County.
ODOT’s contractor, Alan Stone Co. Inc., from Cutler, Ohio, will be repairing a landslide located between Hall Rd. (Twp. Rd. 153) and Cadiz-Amsterdam Rd. (CR 51).
SR 151 traffic will be detoured on SR 9 south to U.S. Route 22 east back to SR 151, and reverse.
Skit Rd. (Twp. Rd. 178) will also be closed May 1, for 60 days during construction.
The completion date for this $464,000 project is August 31, 2017.

As a $2.8 billion per year enterprise, ODOT invests the bulk of its resources in system preservation through maintenance, construction and snow and ice operations.
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
