U.S. Route 250 to be closed near Sunset Heights for slip repair
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, April 18, 2017) – U.S. Route 250 will be closed near Sunset Heights in Belmont County on Monday, May 1st, for five days for a slip repair.
ODOT’s maintenance crew will be constructing a small retaining wall to repair a slip between Ferryview Road and Starlight Drive.
Beginning at the intersection of U.S. 250 and SR 519, traffic will be detoured west on SR 519 to SR 9 south to Interstate 70 east to U.S. 40 in Bridgeport, and then east on U.S. 40 back to U.S. 250, and reverse.
Motorists are urged to plan ahead to avoid delays. The road is expected to be reopened on Friday, May 5, 2017.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
