Resurfacing project begins today
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, April 22, 2013) – Work zone signs are being installed today for resurfacing on State Route 39 in Columbiana County.
Physical work is expected to begin later this week on just over six miles of SR 39 from County Road 418 (Steubenville Pike Rd.) at Highlandtown to Wellsville. Additionally, SR 152 will be resurfaced in Empire, Jefferson County as part of this project.
Traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
ODOT’s contractor for this $1.58 million project is Shelly & Sands Inc., from Rayland, Ohio, and the completion date is mid-September.
