ODOT Seeks Comments on U.S. Route 62 Bridge Replacement in Holmes County
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Friday, April 23, 2010) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 is proposing improvements to U.S. Route 62 in Holmes County by replacing an existing bridge over a Tributary of Wolf Creek located about three and a half miles west of SR 520 in Killbuck Township.
The proposed project will completely replace the existing slab bridge with a reinforced concrete box culvert and will include minimal approach work and replacement of existing guardrail.
Traffic will be maintained with a temporary traffic signal during construction which is anticipated for next summer. New right of way will be required to complete the project.
ODOT is seeking comments from the public about the social, environmental and economic impacts of the proposed project. Environmental impacts include impacts associated with architectural and ecological resources, hazardous materials and the general location of the project.
