Resurfacing work to begin next week on multiple state routes in Columbiana and Jefferson Counties
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, April 27, 2010) – Work will begin next Monday, May 3rd, to repair and resurface State Routes 164 and 267 in Columbiana County and State Route 152 in Jefferson County.
About two miles of SR 164 will be resurfaced from the village of Lisbon's north corp. line to Miller Road, and almost four miles of SR 267 will be resurfaced from East Liverpool's north corp. line to the junction of SR 7. Additionally, almost four miles of SR 152 will be resurfaced from the junction of SR 213 to Empire.
Traffic will be maintained on all routes with flaggers.
ODOT's contractor for this $1.3 million project is Lash Paving Inc., from Colerain, Ohio, and the completion date is July 31, 2010.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
