RESURFACING WORK TO BEGIN NEXT WEEK ON COLUMBIANA COUNTY STATE HIGHWAYS
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 will begin work next Monday, May 5th, to resurface multiple state routes in Columbiana County.
About 11 miles of State Route 9 will be resurfaced from the junction of U.S. Route 30 to the city of Salem's southern corporation limit for a total cost of $2 million.
Additionally, over six miles of SR 14 will be resurfaced from the city of Columbiana's east corp. limit to the Pennsylvania state line, and almost three miles of SR 165 will be resurfaced from the Mahoning County line to the junction of SR 14 at Unity, costing approximately $2.1 million.
ODOT’s contractor for both of these projects is The Shelly Company, from Thornville, Ohio, and the completion date is also August 31, 2008, for both projects.
