RESURFACING WORK TO BEGIN NEXT WEEK ON HOLMES COUNTY STATE HIGHWAYS
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 will begin work next Monday, May 5th, to resurface State Routes 179 and 514 in Holmes County.
Four miles of SR 179 will be resurfaced from the junction of SR 39 near Nashville to the junction of SR 226, and over six miles of SR 514 will be resurfaced from the village of Nashville's corporation limit to the Wayne County line.
Traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
ODOT’s contractor for this $1.2 million project is Melway Paving Co. Inc., from Holmesville, Ohio, and the completion date is October 31, 2008.
