U.S. 22 Eastbound Off-Ramp to Northbound SR 7/SR 213 to be Restricted Next Tuesday Night for Traffic Signal Maintenance
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --The U.S. Route 22 eastbound off-ramp to northbound State Route 7/State Route 213 in Jefferson County will be restricted next Tuesday night, May 5th, beginning at 9 p.m., weather permitting, for traffic signal maintenance.
An Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 traffic crew will be performing maintenance work on the traffic signal loops in the off-ramp. Officers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol will be stopping traffic about every 15 minutes. No detour will be established. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays associated with this work.
Work is expected to be completed between midnight and 3 a.m. Wednesday morning, May 6th.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
