U.S. Route 250 to be Restricted Saturday Morning at New Philadelphia for Utility Work
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Wednesday, May 5, 2010) – U.S. Route 250 will be restricted Saturday morning, May 8th, just south of State Route 416 at New Philadelphia while Time Warner Cable installs an aerial cable across the highway.
Beginning around 7 a.m., traffic will be stopped briefly in both directions on U.S. 250. Traffic delays should be no more than 10 minutes. Message boards will be used to assist motorists as well as the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
