ODOT seeks comments on State Route 7
intersection improvement project for new Beaver Local School Campus
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday,
May 05, 2014) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT)
District 11 is seeking comments on an intersection improvement project at State
Route 7 and Madison Township Road 1131 in Columbiana County.
The proposed project will widen SR 7 at
the intersection of TR 1131 to improve access due to the construction of the
new K-12 school campus for the Beaver Local School district. The project will
build a left-turn lane in the southbound direction of SR 7 and include the
installation of a new traffic signal. The project will also include the minor
realignment of TR 1131 to improve the intersection angle with SR 7.
Construction is anticipated to begin in
the summer of 2015. Traffic will be maintained during construction. Minor new
right of way will be required to complete the project; however, no residential
or business relocations will be required.
ODOT is seeking comments from the public
about the social, environmental, and economic impacts of this proposed project.

ecological resources, hazardous materials, and the general location of the
