New Philadelphia, Ohio (Friday, May 6, 2011) – The Interstate 70 eastbound on and off ramps at State Route 149 (Morristown) in Belmont County were closed to traffic the last two nights for milling work as part of the five-mile, $23 million major upgrade project of the interstate.
That work will continue next week due to mechanical issues.
Monday, May 9th, the I-70 eastbound on-ramp will be closed, beginning around 6 p.m., and Tuesday, May 10th, the I-70 eastbound off-ramp at SR 149 will be closed for the same work.
Work is expected to take place between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. both nights.
ODOT's contractor for this project is Kokosing Construction Company, from Columbus, Ohio, and the completion date is mid-November 2011.
