State Route 644 to be Resurfaced Next Week
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 will begin work next Monday, May 18th, to resurface almost three miles of State Route 644 from the Summitville corporation line in Columbiana County to the southern Carroll County line.
Traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
ODOT’s contractor for this $263,244 project is Superior Paving & Materials Inc., from North Canton, Ohio, and the completion date is May 30, 2009.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
