Resurfacing work to begin on four-lane sections of U.S. Routes 36 and 250 near Uhrichsville in Tuscarawas County
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Thursday, May 13, 2010) – Work is expected to begin next Monday, May 17th, to resurface about four miles of the four-lane sections of U.S. Routes 36 and 250 near Uhrichsville in Tuscarawas County.
U.S. 36 will be resurfaced from the Y Tavern to State Route 800, and U.S. 250 will be resurfaced from Water Street to just west of McCauley Drive.
One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction during construction.
ODOT's contractor for this $4.4 million project is Shelly & Sands Inc., from Zanesville, Ohio, and the completion date is September 30, 2010.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
