State Route 7 resurfacing work to begin in Island Creek Township
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, May 14, 2012) – Work will begin later this week to resurface almost four miles of State Route 7 in Island Creek Township, Jefferson County.
SR 7 will be resurfaced from just north of SR 213 at Alikanna to just north of County Road 56 near Costonia.
Beginning Wednesday, May 16th, one lane for traffic will be maintained in each direction.
Traffic restrictions should be removed by fall; however, all work will likely be completed by June 2013. ODOT’s contractor for this $5.3 million project is Shelly & Sands Inc., from Rayland, Ohio.
