ODOT Asks Residents to Move On Street Parking Along U.S. Route 40 Next Tuesday to Allow for Sweeping
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 is asking residents along U.S. Route 40 between Blaine and Brookside in Belmont County to move on street parking next week to allow for curb sweeping.
Work is scheduled to take place between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009, weather permitting.
ODOT’s contractor for this $130,800 district-wide maintenance project is Daniel R Schmoldt Enterprises Inc., from Warrensville Hts., Ohio.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
