New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, May 17, 2010) – Resurfacing work is expected to begin tomorrow on State Routes 9 and 542 in Carroll County.
Almost nine miles of SR 9 will be resurfaced from the Harrison County line to the junction of SR 43 near Harlem Springs, and four miles of SR 542 will be resurfaced from Dellroy's north corp. limit to Fargo Road past Atwood Lake toward Magnolia.
Traffic will be maintained with flaggers.

ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
