SR 60 to be closed south of Welcome for culvert replacement
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Wednesday, May 21, 2014) –State Route 60 will be closed to traffic for seven days on Monday, June 2nd, south of Welcome in Holmes County for a culvert replacement.
Beginning at the intersection of SR 39 and SR 60, traffic will be detoured west on SR 39 to U.S. 62/SR 83 south to U.S. 62 west back to SR 60, and reverse.
This work is part of a $486,000 districtwide culvert replacement project, including three other locations in Holmes County, one in Belmont County, and one in Columbiana County. ODOT’s contractor is Shelly & Sands Inc., from Columbus, Ohio, and the completion date for the entire project is October 2014.
