Work to begin on State Route 164
pavement preservation project
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, May 23, 2017) – Work will begin Monday, June 5th,
to extend the pavement life on over four miles of State Route 164 north of SR
517 in Columbiana County.
As a preservation treatment, SR
164 will be chip sealed from Township Road 859 to County Road 440.
Utilizing aggressive preservation
treatments, such as chip seals, lowers costs over the long term, enabling ODOT
to resurface more roads and provide a smoother ride for more people.
Traffic will be maintained with
ODOT’s contractor for this
$258,000 project is Melway Paving Co. Inc., from Holmesville, Ohio, and the
completion date is October 31, 2017.

December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
