Resurfacing work to begin next week on State Route 213
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, May 25, 2010) – Resurfacing work is set to begin next Tuesday, June 1st, on about two miles of State Route 213 in Jefferson County.
SR 213 will be resurfaced from just south of Hammondsville to SR 7. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
ODOT's contractor for this $676,270 project is Lash Paving Inc., from Colerain, Ohio, and the completion date is mid-July 2010.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
