County Road 38 to be closed next week over U.S. Route 22 for bridge replacement
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Wednesday, May 25, 2011) – County Road 38 will be closed next Wednesday, June 1st, over U.S. Route 22 in Jefferson County for a bridge replacement project.
The project, located just east of the Harrison County line, will involve the replacement of the existing superstructure, approach slabs, concrete parapets, and include partial realignment of the substructure limits and minor roadway work at the approaches.
Traffic will be detoured on old U.S. 22 and County Roads 38 and 39. The roadway should be reopened within 120 calendar days.
ODOT's contractor for this $971,700 project is DOT Construction Corp., from Canfield, Ohio, and the completion date is September 30, 2011.
