State Route 646 to be Resurfaced in Harrison County
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 will begin work Monday, June 8th, to resurface about four miles of State Route 646 in Harrison County.
SR 646 will be resurfaced from just east of New Rumley to the junction of SR 9.
Traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
ODOT’s contractor for this $769,602 project is Shelly & Sands Inc., from Zanesville, Ohio, and the completion date is July 31, 2009.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
