State Route 213 restricted south of Hammondsville due to landslide
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, May 31, 2011) – State Route 213 was reduced to one lane last Thursday south of Hammondsville in Jefferson County due to a landslide.
One lane of traffic is being maintained with temporary traffic signals.
ODOT's contractor, Sheldon Gantt Inc., from Niles, Ohio, will be performing exploratory drilling to determine the type of repairs needed which are estimated to cost $200,000.
Officials are unsure at this time how long repair work may take.
