Klee's Crossing to be Closed Next Monday for Sanitary Work
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --Township Road 476 (Klee's Crossing) will be closed to traffic, weather permitting, next Monday, June 8th, for sanitary work associated with the State Route 149 relocation project at Bellaire in Belmont County.
Officials estimate Klee's Crossing to close around 9 a.m. and remain closed for approximately 24 hours while ODOT's contractor, Shelly & Sands, Inc., from Zanesville, Ohio, installs a pipe across the road. Traffic will be detoured on State Routes 149 and 147.
In addition, SR 149 will be reduced to one lane with flaggers at Klee's Crossing during this work.
The current completion date for this $6.3 million project is August 2010.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
