Interstate 77 to be restricted this week for pavement repairs
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Tuesday, June 1, 2010) – Interstate 77 will be restricted in Tuscarawas County today through Friday, June 4th, for pavement repairs.
ODOT's contractor, The Shelly Company, from Thornville, will be performing warranty pavement repairs on the I-77 section between Wolf Run and Stonecreek which they completed in 2004.
One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
