Work to begin next week on Interstate 77 between New Philadelphia and Strasburg
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, June 03, 2013) – Work will begin next Monday, June 10th, on the Interstate 77 resurfacing project between New Philadelphia and Strasburg in Tuscarawas County.
Traffic will be maintained, but beginning Monday, there will be a nightly lane restriction down to 11-feet wide, using barrels. Work will take place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.; however, daytime lane restrictions may occur for work north of Dover.
Work will also take place on the U.S. Route 250 ramps at the New Philadelphia Interchange.
ODOT’s contractor for this $8 million project is the Shelly Company, from Thornville, Ohio. All work will be completed by the end of this year.
