U.S. Route 30 restricted just east of Hanoverton for emergency culvert replacement
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, June 6, 2011) – U.S. Route 30 was reduced to one lane of traffic just east of Hanoverton in Columbiana County late Friday, June 3rd, due to a culvert failure from excessive rains this spring.
Two-way traffic is being maintained in one lane with temporary traffic signals.
ODOT's contractor, DOT Construction Corp., from Canfield, Ohio, will be replacing the culvert and performing guardrail and pavement repairs as needed.
This project, estimated to cost $250,000, is being funded by federal emergency funds due to the major rainfall events in April. The anticipated completion date for this work is August 31, 2011.
