Resurfacing work to begin on State Route 39 between Berlin and Sugarcreek
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Thursday, June 06, 2013) – Work is set to begin Sunday night, June 9th, to resurface almost nine miles of State Route 39 between Berlin and Sugarcreek in Holmes and Tuscarawas counties.
Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. However to minimize the inconvenience caused by this work, construction will be performed at night from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Also included as part of this $4 million project is a four-mile section of SR 516 from Winfield to SR 39 at Dover. This work will be performed during daytime hours.
ODOT’s contractor for this project is Melway Paving Co. Inc., from Holmesville, Ohio. All work will be completed by mid-October.
