Rock Barrier to be installed along U.S. Route 250 near Midvale
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, June 14, 2010) – U.S. Route 250 will be restricted next Monday, June 21st, for rock barrier installation just east of the Midvale Exit in Tuscarawas County.
Both east and westbound travel lanes and the outside shoulders of U.S. 250 will be closed during construction. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction in the passing lanes.
ODOT's contractor for this $219,974 project is Kokosing Construction Company Inc., from Columbus, Ohio, and the completion date is mid-August.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
