State Route 149 to be reduced to one lane next week near Belmont for culvert replacement project
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Thursday, June 17, 2010) – State Route 149 will be reduced to one lane next Monday, June 21st, south of Interstate 70 near the village of Belmont in Belmont County for the replacement of two culverts.
Two-way traffic will be maintained in one, 12-foot lane with temporary traffic signals.
ODOT's contractor for this $573,534 project is Buds Inc., from Nashport, Ohio, and the completion date is August 31, 2010.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
