State Route 558 to be Closed for Culvert Replacement
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --State Route 558 in Columbiana County will be closed on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 for a culvert replacement by ODOT's maintenance crews. The closure is just east of the Township Road 789 (Bunker Hill Road) intersection.
State Route 558 traffic will be detoured onto State Route 164 south, to State Route 517 east, then back to State Route 558. ODOT officials anticipate the road to be reopened later that day.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
