Safety improvement project to begin at Beaver Local Campus
ODOT investing $1.25 million on State Route 7 intersection and access improvements
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, June 22, 2015) – Work is expected to begin next Monday, June 29th, on a safety improvement project at State Route 7 and Bell School Road (Township Road 1131) in Columbiana County.
To improve safety and access for the new Beaver Local K-12 campus, ODOT is investing $1.25 million to widen SR 7 at the intersection of Bell School Road. A left-turn lane in the southbound direction will be constructed as well as a new traffic signal. Additionally, the project will include the minor realignment of Bell School Road to improve the intersection angle.
Two lanes of traffic will be maintained at all times on SR 7.
ODOT’s contractor is Marucci & Gaffney Excavating Co., from Youngstown, Ohio.
All work is expected to be completed by this fall.
