State Route 149 to be restricted next week near Glencoe for emergency landslide repair work
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Thursday, June 23, 2011) – Work will begin Monday, June 27th, to repair three landslide areas along State Route 149 near Glencoe in Belmont County.
ODOT's contractor, Beaver Excavating Company, from Canton, Ohio, will be constructing three retaining walls as well as performing guardrail and pavement repairs where needed.
One-way traffic will be maintained with temporary traffic signals.
This project, estimated to cost $695,000, is being funded by federal emergency monies due to the major rainfall events this spring. Officials anticipate completing this work by September 27, 2011.
