Resurfacing work to begin Monday on U.S. Route 30 between Hanoverton and Stark County line
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Thursday, June 24, 2010) – Resurfacing work is set to begin Monday, June 28th, on over nine miles of U.S. Route 30 in Columbiana County.
U.S. 30 will be resurfaced from the village of Hanoverton's east corp. line to the Stark County line. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
ODOT's contractor for this $1.7 million project is the Shelly Company, from Thornville, Ohio, and the completion date is August 31, 2010.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
