Traffic Signal Installed at State Routes 800 and 183 Near Sandy Valley Local School's New Campus
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --In anticipation of Sandy Valley Local School District's new K-12 campus, located along State Route 183 near the Crossroads in Tuscarawas County, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 has installed a traffic signal at the intersection of State Routes 800 and 183.
Beginning this Friday, June 27th, the traffic signal will be in flash mode for about one month. It is expected to be fully operational or a stop and go operation on Tuesday, July 22, 2008.
ODOT District 11 Deputy Director Richard Bible said, "Our engineers and maintenance crews worked closely with the school district to install this signal which is intended to help the flow of traffic when the school is completed and opened later this year. We expect changed traffic patterns and increased traffic volumes on both of these routes."
