West State Street bridge to close next Monday in Salem
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, June 29, 2015) – The West State Street (State Route 14) bridge in Salem, Columbiana County, will be closed to traffic next Monday, July 6th, for 140 days.
The road closure is for a $3 million bridge deck replacement project.
Beginning at the intersection of U.S. Route 62, SR 173, and SR 45 west of Salem, traffic will be detoured north on U.S. 62 to SR 165 east to SR 46 south back to SR 14, and reverse.
The structure is expected to be reopened by late November.
ODOT’s contractor is Marucci & Gaffney Excavating Co., from Youngstown, Ohio, and the overall completion date is June 2016.
