70 eastbound off-ramp at Exit 218 to be closed four hours early next Friday morning
BELMONT COUNTY - The Interstate 70 eastbound
off-ramp at Exit 218 will be closed four hours early next Friday morning, July
7th, for bridge repairs over Mall Road as part of
ongoing, $13 million, 4 ½ mile upgrade project
that began last year.
will be closed from 2 AM to 6 AM, while ODOT’s contractor, Lash
Paving Inc., from Colerain, Ohio, pours
an overlay on the bridge. Traffic will be detoured on I-70 eastbound to Exit
220 (CR 214), then I-70 westbound back to Exit 218.
Construction on the project – that
stretches from almost a mile west of Mall Road to nearly four miles east of
Mall Road – included
pavement repairs, resurfacing, median barrier replacement, new guardrail, new
lighting, and bridge repairs on the I-70 bridges over
