Resurfacing to Begin Next Week on State Route 39 in New Philadelphia
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) -- The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 11 will begin resurfacing work next Monday, July 7th, on State Route 39 (West High Avenue) in the city of New Philadelphia, Tuscarawas County.
Less than a half mile of SR 39 (West High Avenue) will be resurfaced from the railroad tracks to Seventh Street.
ODOT District 11 Deputy Director Dick Bible, P.E. said, "To lessen the inconvenience and minimize delays caused by this work, the contractor will work at night between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., Sunday through Friday."
ODOT’s contractor for this $114,608 project is Superior Paving & Materials Inc., from North Canton, Ohio, and the completion date is July 31, 2008.
