Jefferson and Tuscarawas County bridges to be inspected next week
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Wednesday, June 30, 2010) – Three bridges on State Route 7 in Jefferson County and a bridge on Interstate 77 in Tuscarawas County will be inspected next week during daytime hours by ODOT crews and a snooper truck, weather permitting.
On Tuesday, July 6th, crews will inspect the SR 7 bridge over County Road 47 north of Toronto and the bridge over the Conrail Railroad south of Empire.
On Wednesday, July 7th, the SR 7 bridge over Township Road 304 and the Norfolk Southern Railroad at Goose Run will be inspected.
And on Thursday, July 8th, the Interstate 77 bridge over CR 4 south of Newcomerstown in Tuscarawas County will be inspected.
Traffic will be restricted but maintained at all of these locations during this work.
ODOT reminds motorists to SLOW DOWN for the "Cone Zone;" turn on headlights and drive carefully in work zones. Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the highway workers. Remember, fines in work zones are doubled for not obeying traffic signs. Minimize distractions – turn OFF cell phones in construction zones. Remember to always buckle up.
