Road to be closed for bridge replacement project

COLUMBIANA COUNTY – Hull Road (Township
Road 848) is expected to close on Monday, July 17th, for a $426,845
bridge replacement project about one mile east of State Route 644 in Franklin
Township made possible
by Gov. John R. Kasich’s Ohio Bridge Partnership
existing bridge is located over Nancy Run just west of Foundry Hill Road. The road
will be closed for 50 days, and no official detour will be posted.
Ohio Bridge Partnership Program, developed by ODOT in late 2013, provides
resources to assist counties and cities with the replacement of their bridges.
Since the program’s inception, two additional phases have been added, totaling
$10 million each. Altogether, about $140 million has been invested throughout the state to replace more than
220 county and city-owned bridges.
contractor is Shelly & Sands Inc., from Columbus, Ohio, and the completion
date is August 31, 2017.
