Motorists Should Expect Delays Wednesday on State Route 7 for Work at the W.H. Sammis Plant
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --Motorists should expect delays this Wednesday, July 9th, on State Route 7 in Stratton, Jefferson County, as part of FirstEnergy's environmental control retrofit construction project underway at the company's W. H. Sammis Plant.
SR 7 will be closed at various times between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday. Crews will be off-loading three scrubber rings for the project from barges located along SR 7 at the plant.
Motorists should expect short delays of approximately 15 minutes each. The roadway could be closed up to six different times. Therefore, officials are encouraging motorists to use an alternate route to avoid delays and traffic backups associated with this work.
