State Route 39 Resurfacing in New Philadelphia Delayed Again
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --Due to a conflict with ongoing utility work along State Route 39 (West High Avenue) in the city of New Philadelphia, the resurfacing work scheduled to begin this coming Sunday, July 13th is being delayed to Sunday, July 27th, 2008.
Less than a half mile of SR 39 will be resurfaced from the railroad tracks to Seventh Street.
ODOT District 11 Deputy Director Dick Bible, P.E., said, "To minimize the inconvenience and delays caused by this work, the contractor will only work between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m., Sunday through Friday."
ODOT’s contractor for this $114,608 project is Superior Paving & Materials Inc., from North Canton, Ohio.
