Route 40 westbound to be closed next week at Interstate 70 Interchange project
COUNTY – On Monday, July 17th, U.S. Route 40 will be restricted to
eastbound traffic only west of State Route 331 at the Interstate 70
40 westbound traffic will be detoured in this section of the project.
traveling westbound on I-70 will be detoured to Exit 208 at Morristown to SR 149
north back to U.S. 40. Traffic traveling on SR 331 will be detoured eastbound
on I-70 to Exit 215, then westbound on I-70 to Exit 208 at Morristown to SR 149
north back to U.S. 40. Airport Rd. traffic will be detoured westbound on Roscoe
Rd., north on Pogue Rd., and north on Oak View Rd. back to U.S. 40.

ODOT’s contractor, Shelly & Sands
Inc., from Columbus, Ohio, will be reconstructing U.S. 40, including drainage
work, during this westbound closure. This restriction is expected to remain in
place until late November of this year.
