State Route 39 to be restricted next week in Salineville for emergency slip repair work
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, July 11, 2011) – Work will begin next Monday, July 18th, to repair a slip along State Route 39 in Salineville, Columbiana County, due to excessive rains this spring.
One, 10-foot lane for traffic will be maintained with temporary traffic signals.
ODOT's contractor, Ruhlin Company, from Sharon Center, Ohio, will be constructing a retaining wall as well as installing four gabion walls on SR 164 south.
This project, estimated to cost $104,000, is being funded by federal emergency monies due to the major rainfall events in April. Officials anticipate completing this work by August 31, 2011.
