State Route 241 to be restricted at north end of Millersburg for slide repair project
New Philadelphia, Ohio (Monday, July 11, 2016) – Beginning next Monday, July 18th, State Route 241 will be reduced to one lane at the north end of Millersburg in Holmes County for a slide repair project.
Two-way traffic will be maintained in one, 12-foot lane with temporary traffic signals 0.8 miles north of U.S. Route 62 near Millersburg’s north corp. limit.
ODOT’s contractor for this $387,244 project is Dennison Bridge Inc., from Dennison, Ohio, and the completion date is October 15, 2016.
The Ohio Department of Transportation maintains the state's largest man-made asset – the transportation system. ODOT's mission is to provide the safe and easy movement of people and goods from place to place. As a $2.8 billion per year enterprise, ODOT invests the bulk of its resources in system preservation through maintenance, construction and snow and ice operations.
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
