State Route 9 to be Closed Monday at Industrial Park Road Intersection Near Cadiz
(NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO) --State Route 9 will be closed to traffic Monday, July 21, 2008, for 14 days as part of the Industrial Park Road (County Road 29) reconstruction project underway near Cadiz in Harrison County.
About a quarter mile of SR 9 will be reconstructed as well its intersection with CR 29 to improve the vertical alignment of the roadway.
SR 9 traffic will be detoured onto SR 519 east in New Athens to U.S. 250 west back to Cadiz, and reverse. CR 29 will also remain closed during this time; however, businesses located on CR 29 will continue to have access from U.S. Route 22.
ODOT’s contractor for this $3.7 million project is Shelly & Sands, Inc., from Zanesville, Ohio, and the completion date for all work is August 31, 2008.
